South Asian Documentary Film Festival 2023

We are excited to invite you to the upcoming South Asian Documentary Film Festival, a captivating cinematic journey celebrating the art of storytelling. Organized by TLRJN in collaboration with the Departments of Communication, Media and Film, UWindsor, and Women and Gender Studies, UWindsor. This festival promises to be a remarkable experience. 

Event Details: 

Festival Dates: September 24 – November 19, 2023 

Opening In-Person Screening: Sunday, September 24 | 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Location: Armories, University of Windsor, 37 University Ave. E. between Freedom Way and Ouellette Ave, Windsor. 

Online Screenings: Every weekend from September 29 to November 19 

Festival Highlights: 

  • A collection of 20 award-winning documentaries 
  • Diverse narratives that reflect the rich culture of South Asia 
  • Convenient online access with a free one-time registration 
  • Exclusive in-person screening on September 24 with free downtown parking 

How to Participate: 

Join us for the in-person opening screening on Sunday, September 24, at the Armories, University of Windsor. Experience the magic of cinema in a shared space from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Free parking is available downtown. 

For the rest of the festival, all screenings are available online. After registration, you can access the films every weekend, starting September 29 and running until November 19. Online access begins each Friday at 4:00 p.m.
